Yr 8 vs. Parmitters
On Monday 21st November we played our second county cup match against Parmitters. Dick and I both feel that the whole squad really gelled in this match and displayed a real will to fight and win!! For the first ten minutes Parmitters battered out defense, Sophie saving three good shots on goal!! Holly showed her ability to channel attacking players and put in a strong well timed tackle and deserves her nomination for player of the match. Eleana Hackwood, Lois Fordham and Lydia Grinstead displayed excellent teamwork and structure with the support of Georgina Bagge as sweeper. Although we achieved the same result as our last match the girls we so much improved and stood up to a very strong parmitters side until the last ten minutes.
In the end it was unlucky and could have easily been a win for us.
Next Monday you are playing the year 9's at Clarence Park.
Vote for your player of the match this week.

Year 8 vs. JFK We were robbed!!
The year 8's ad there first county cup fixture against JFK on Monday. There were notable performances from Anna Biggs who worked tirelessly in midfield, Libe Fadrique who was crucial in building some of our attacking play, Georgina Bagge who was out solid centre back who spread to ball to the wing with such accuracy and poise, and Esme Mallet who worked very hard to build attacking play on the right wing.
The whole squad worked incredibly hard and were the better side for the majority of the game. JFK got one lucky break catching our squad a little off guard and scored the goal which won them the match in the last two minutes. Holly played her first full side hockey match and proved she was made for it.
As I said, we will play them again and WE WILL WIN!!
Train hard the cup can still be ours.
