Beaumont School Hockey
Welcome to the Beaumont School Hockey Team blog. We welcome anyone to come and play; from complete novice to experienced players. Hockey sticks are provided; all players require shin pads and we strongly recommend gum shields. Training is held every Monday evening at Beaumont School from 3.45 to 5.oopm; the season runs from September to March.

Hockey 2015/16
The new hockey season will begin on Monday 7th September 2015. All training sessions will be held at Beaumont School unless advised otherwise by Miss Moody.
Fixtures that have been made to date are listed on each team page are listed on the fixture list page. Remember that at times, due to unavoidable circumstances fixtures and training can be cancelled. This will be communicated as quickly as possible. This may happen on the day of the or training, meaning that this will be communicated to students who are responsible for making the necessary arrangements as required.
It is very exciting to be able to announce that the astro turf will be ready for the start of the season. This will have a huge impact on out ability to train and play and we are all very excited! As a result we are running a lunchtime hockey practice every Friday lunchtime as well as our usual Monday evening training.

Indoor Hockey is coming to Beaumont this summer
Just when you were feeling distraught about the end of the hockey season.......
We have introduced indoor hockey to Beaumont School. Yay.
Training will be on a Wednesday lunchtime in the Gym with Miss Moody and Miss Mobbs. Training will start on Wednesday 22nd April 2015.
Training will be available to year 7 and year 8 students, you are welcome to join us if you have not played Hockey during the outdoor season with the school teams.

Hockey 2014/15
Training will start on Monday 8th September 2014, all training sessions will be held at Clarence Park from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. Transport is provided to Clarence Park, students are expected to arrange transport after training. If this is an issue for some students there are limited spaces available on the minibus which returns to school after each session.
This season we will be running year 7, year 8 and year 9 girls Hockey squads. All teams will complete in the county cup as well as the district league and tournaments. Years 8 and 9 will play 11 aside competitive matches, year 7 will play 7 aside in all competitions. As a result the year 7s will have an A and a B squad.
Please use the year group pages to find team sheets, times and venues for fixtures.
The home page of this blog will be used to communicate cancellations of training or fixtures, changes to venues, match reports etc.... as well as signposting player and parents to any updates on specific pages.
This blog also links directly to the PE twitter account @BeaumontPE
